Street Photography in Istanbul: Tarek’s Lens

By Tarek Wazzi

“I’ve heard alot about Turkey, but it was nothing compared to what I saw during my 4 days there. The people, the city, the history, the organization and tidyness of the city as well as its orientation towards tourism made it a wonderful country to visit. In these 4 days, I think we covered around 20km on foot, and interacted with loads of people, young and old, Turkish and foreign all of which made our stay even better. The trip was also a good photography experience and since the theme was street photography, our vision, alertness and creativity had to be on standby whenever we had the camera in our hand. Last, but not least, this trip was great because of the bunch of people that were there, and without them it wouldn’t have been the experience that it was. Next trip, [let’s go] somewhere in Asia!” – Tarek Wazzi
